. Absolute humidity

The mass of water vapor contained in each cubic meter of wet air.

2. Relative humidity

The ratio of the absolute humidity of unsaturated wet air to the absolute humidity of saturated wet air at a certain temperature. It reflects the degree to which the moisture content in wet air is close to saturation, so the relative humidity is relative to the saturated air at the same temperature and pressure.

3. Moisture content

The wet air is composed of dry air and water vapor. The amount of water vapor coexisting with 1kg dry air in the wet air is called moisture content.

4. Isothermal humidification

The heat energy is used to convert liquid water into steam and air for humidification. The change in enthalpy and humidity diagram is an approximate isothermal process.

5. Isoenthalpy humidification

The sensible heat of air absorbed by water is used for evaporative humidification, and its change on the enthalpy and humidity chart is an approximate isoenthalpy process.

6. Humidification amount

The mass of water vapor increased per unit time by the air flowing through the device during operation.

7. Humidification efficiency

How much of the amount of spray or atomized water in the air is actually absorbed into water vapor by the air. For high-pressure spray humidifier: effective humidification amount=spray amount × Humidification efficiency.

8. Saturation efficiency

In the process of constant enthalpy humidification, the probability of humidifier inlet air reaching saturation after humidification. This value directly reflects the humidification capacity of the humidifier. The higher the value is, the stronger the humidification capacity is. On the contrary, the weaker the humidification capacity is. For the vaporizing humidifier, because the vaporization of water is completely carried out in the humidifier, the capacity of the humidification module is an important factor determining the saturation efficiency. The water mist humidifier makes water particles evaporate to spray in the airflow, so the saturation efficiency is determined by the particle size of spray particles, spray position, evaporation absorption distance, etc., which is an important factor in selecting humidifier.
